Mitra's Qualifications

Mitra was hired by Animal Behavior & Training Associates, Inc. in 2001 and taught basic obedience classes for Petco in Redwood City, CA.

She began working at Pets in Need as an animal care attendant in 2001. In 2002, a trainer position was created and Mitra began working with shelter dogs with behavior problems to make them more adoptable. Most of her work at the shelter consisted of basic obedience, socialization, handling/touch desensitization, and resource guarding.

Mitra has been teaching classes for K-9 Insight Obedience since October 2003. Her eventual goal is to obtain a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) designation. The certification process is thru the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. For more information go to Trainer Certification.
